Everything you need to deploy CodeB. One page.

Pick the package that matches your deployment. All installers are signed, run on Windows 8 through Server 2025 (x86 and x64), and require no cloud connection. The same Credential Provider V2 sits underneath every edition — the difference is how the supporting tools are packaged. New here? The step-by-step manual covers install, licensing and token enrolment.

Which one do I need?

Daily-use workstations — need card-remove auto-lock? Take the System Tray Edition. It bundles everything into one helper. Air-gapped, scripted, or only want the helpers you actually use? Take the Tools Edition — each helper is a standalone executable. Rolling out hundreds of NFC cards from a CSV? Add the Admin CLI — PowerShell- and SCCM-friendly.

01 / Flagship

CodeB Credential Provider V2

Replaces the Microsoft password tile via the documented Credential Provider Filter interface. NFC, TOTP, PKI smartcard or USB token — second factor or full passwordless. 100 % managed .NET. FIPS 140-2 enforceable by Group Policy.

CP V2 · recommended
System Tray Edition
Unified

All helpers in one system-tray application. Required if you need actions on card-remove (auto-lock or sign-out). Easiest rollout for daily use on shared workstations.

Tools Edition
Pick & mix

Each helper is a standalone executable. Admins install exactly the tools they need and nothing they don't — useful when scripted, scheduled or composed into a wider workflow. Card-remove actions are not included; choose the System Tray Edition if you need them.

Production tip: the System Tray icon can be hidden from end users by setting the registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\CodeB\Config\HideSystray. The helper keeps running — including card-remove actions — but ordinary users can't see or misconfigure it.

Stay in the loop. For release notes, security advisories and CRA-relevant announcements, follow our CodeB Credential Provider channel on WhatsApp — a one-way broadcast channel, no data flows back. For support, use the contact page.

02 / Unattended rollouts

CodeB Admin CLI

Standalone command-line utility for system administrators. Same enrollment actions the GUI helpers do — link an NFC card to an AD user, store encrypted credentials, audit assignments, revoke a card — but unattended, from any batch script, PowerShell pipeline or SCCM task. Rolling out 500 cards by hand is a week; doing it from a CSV in a loop is an afternoon.

Standalone download
CodeBAdminCLI.exe
Unattended

Not bundled with the two editions above — pull it down separately when you need to script enrollment. Works against both local accounts and Active Directory. With AD permissions delegated correctly, no local administrative privileges are required.

Where everything runs.

CodeB software runs on every Windows version Microsoft still ships, plus several Microsoft no longer supports but our customers still operate behind firewalls. Architectures: x86 and x64. No cloud, no internet, no telemetry call-home.
